Ovulation is one part of the female menstrual cycle whereby a mature egg is released from one of the ovary.
- During ovulation one of the two ovaries mature an egg within a follicle called sack which is full of immature eggs.
- An egg releases when the sac bursts or ruptures.
- The egg gets associated with the end of the fallopian tube, it is a floral type structure known as fimbriae .
- The fimbriae pushes the egg towards inside of the fallopian tube.
- At the time of intercourse approximately 300 million sperms enter into the female body
- Healthy and motile sperms reach the egg in the Fallopian tube.
- One effective sperm penetrates the eggs outer layer.
- They combine and genetic changes occur which is called fertilization.
- After a few days of fertilization, the resulting baby seed called embryo swims to get implanted in the womb called Uterus.
