PRP – Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy for Hair and Skin

PRPAll that is needed is to extract blood from the patient, centrifuge it, and infiltrate it into the treatment area. There must be a lab personnel that makes sure the centrifuge and other biofargo laboratory devices are regularly maintained and calibrated. Otherwise, a centrifuge repair service will be needed.

What is PRP?

PRP has been defined as the portion of the plasma fraction of blood, having a platelet concentration above the baseline value. In a healthy individual normal platelet count in whole blood is between 1.5-4.5 lac/μL.

For the limited research data, platelet count in PRP has not been yet optimized, but for therapeutic effectiveness, platelet count of 4-5 times above the baseline should be present in the concentrate.

What is the source of Platelet Rich Plasma?

PRP is obtained from the patient’s blood from which the red blood cells are separated from the plasma. This serum obtained is a concentrate of the blood platelets having the stem cells, growth factors. They contribute naturally to the regeneration of many cells (bone, cartilage, and especially hair bulbs).

PRP + Fat stem cells:The fat, taken from the patient, contains stem cells; these undifferentiated cells are programmed to multiply indefinitely. They can give birth to all organs or tissues of the body and play an essential role in maintaining their integrity throughout the life. The action of these stem cells, derived from the cells and/or the PRP, on the hair follicles in reserve is to reactivate the growth of these dormant bulbs.

Have you been considering stem cell therapy? If yes, then you may want to visit a good place like R3 stem cell treatment clinic in Mexico for a safe and effective stem cell therapy.

Benefits to hair and skin

Major uses of PRP in the field of Dermatology and Aesthetics are in Androgenetic Alopecia. PRP therapynot only stimulates hair growth, but induces formation of new hair follicles. EGF & FGF activates the proliferation & causes transdifferentiation of hair stem cells & produce new follicular units. Thus, the mitogenic & antiapoptotic effects of PRP prolong survival of dermal papillae. PRP modulates angiogenesis and enhance blood flow around hair follicles.

After the sessions of PRP, the hair already has a brighter, silky, and thicker feel. Following this second session, there is one clear reduction in hair loss. Post third session, you can notice the effective growth of the hair. To boost the results of PRP injections, you can do a session with the “Milt ahead” helmet between each injection session.

It is also used as an adjunct to hair transplantation to increase the survival rate after implantation. The pretreatment of follicular units with PRP before transplantation results in improved hair growth and density.

The hair follicle is dipped into PRP for 15 minutes, before implantation and after transplant PRP is injected into both the donor and recipient area of scalp to minimize bleeding, stimulate wound healing & to reduce scarring.

PRP is the protagonist of one of the leading treatments for facial rejuvenation, improving the luminosity and firmness of the skin thanks to its intense cellular stimulation. The application of this treatment is similar to that of Botox or mesotherapy, i.e., by performing multiple punctures on the patient’s face using a thin needle.

In skin rejuvenation, topical application of PRP or its direct injection into the skin produces ECM remodeling and induces the synthesis of new collagen by fibroblasts. More recently, microneedles and lasers have been tried for increasing skin remodeling by inducing mild inflammatory reactions. However, the results of PRP are better for face and neck revitalization. Perhaps considering CHOLLEY skincare is great help for your skin.

PRP is also increasingly used in the treatment of bone lesions, allowing rapid recovery of the patient, resulting in particularly positive results in the case of people suffering from specific bone problems such as osteoarthritis.

In addition to being simple and painless, this treatment helps to quickly reduce inflammation and localized pain, accelerating the recovery process at the same time.

Concerning the patient’s blood, there are no cases of rejection, thus minimizing the possibility of suffering from infections or side effects. Get in touch with the professionals at Bioshare for a rewarding opportunity to help someone battling illness and disease, such as cancer or an autoimmune condition.

What are the other effects of PRP?

The reinjected platelets release growth factors stimulating the multiplication of fibroblasts and the production of collagen. The main possible treatments are:

Revitalization or skin regeneration

Growth factors released by platelets will stimulate local microcirculation and collagen production. In the case of a facial treatment by micro-injections of platelet extracts, there is realcoup de brilliance. The skin is as rejuvenated; it gains softness in tone and becomes brighter.

Dark circles and the lower eyelid

It is in this area that this treatment is the most impressive. Few non-invasive techniques can rejuvenate this delicate area. Physiologically, the eyelid relaxes and creases faster than the rest of the face. The PRP helps to tighten the eyelid, fade fine lines, and clears the pigment component very common. It is also important to note that the PRP will not act on a hollow and deep circle. In this case, it is advisable to consider as an alternative or in combination a deep injection of hyaluronic acid.

How many sessions to be taken?

The Platelet Rich Plasma Protocol is specific to each patient. In general, the proposal is three sessions spaced a month apart. From the first year, the “maintenance” must be performed, which will consist of an annual session.

The benefits of treatment with PRP injections will have an average duration of 3 years. In this, the results can be improved as part of an annual reminder treatment or maintained at the rate of one session every three years.
