When should I see a gynecologist?

You should visit a gynecologist for annual check-ups, menstrual concerns, pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding, contraception advice, pregnancy planning, menopause management, or any reproductive health issues.

Infertility may be due to ovulation disorders, blocked fallopian tubes, endometriosis, low sperm count, poor sperm quality, hormonal problems, age-related factors, or unexplained causes.

Typically:

  • Every 4 weeks until 28 weeks
  • Every 2 weeks from 28–36 weeks
  • Weekly after 36 weeks until delivery
Your doctor may recommend more frequent visits if needed.
