Here is a touching story of a young boy, a road traffic accident victim who was found unconscious on the road side with life threatening head injury.
He was walking on the road and was hit by a speeding vehicle from behind. He immediately fell on the road, and by the time he could take a look at who it was, the car sped away. Bewildered by the incident, he sat on the side of the road, and lost consciousness. Many passers by just observed, but no body stepped forwards to help. The boy had a big wound on the head, and started bleeding profusely.
Then four real life heroes, the good samaritans of our city, helped the boy. They brought the boy in an unconscious and critical condition to the hospital in the middle of the night.
The boy received immediate Emergency treatment. On evaluation by the doctors, he did not have a pulse, was in a state of shock, probably due to excessive blood loss. He was immediately shifted to the ICU (Intensive Care Unit).
The large wound on the forehead was sutured. CT Scan was done which did not reveal any specific abnormality. Multiple blood transfusions were administered to replenish the lost blood.
The patient recovered in a few days, and was more than thankful to those who had brought him to the hospital, as well as to the doctors and the nursing staff of the hospital.
The patient was treated absolutely free by the hospital, in view of the ongoing scheme in Delhi, where in all expenses of accident victims are born by the Delhi Government.
We all can save lives by providing immediate help to the road side accident victims, especially by bringing them to the hospital at the earliest. This young man could have lost his life, if not for those four Real Life Heroes.
